It was such a big deal last year when he wanted to play again and now it is happening again, kinda. He says he won’t play but we all bet if someone called and said we need you he would be right in there. Some said he couldn’t do it last year then he came out playing well and it became a “we will see” story. When the Jets didn’t make the playoffs, some of his teammates came out and blamed it on him. Hindsight is 20-20. Well, let me get my perfect vision on for a second. This guy lived and died in the tundra of Green bay and did what he did. Your teammates lose faith in you and it wears on you. It is much harder to work with someone who is looking for you to fail than with someone who is hoping you succeed. How did Green Bay do last year? Any better without Favre? I honestly believe that Green Bay should have kept Favre until HE was really ready to retire. Green Bay was his team. So much of professional sports is about confidence. With the support of the franchise, the fans, and his teammates, who knows what he could have done last year in Green Bay. Instead, he went and played with a team where only some of the guys believed in him. Well you know what, when he lost, all the Jets lost. This is a team sport, obviouslly. Championships are won when everybody bonds together, for a common goal, with supreme confidence. You have to work hard for your teammates. They are depending on you. |
